Privacy Notice
Last updated: 3 August 2026
1. Who we are
Anchored is operated by ANXRD (“ANXRD”, “we”, “us”), trading as Anchored at anxrd.com. ANXRD is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice, which means we decide how and why your data is processed. You can reach us at support@anxrd.com.
2. Personal data we collect and why
- Account data (email address, password credentials handled by our authentication provider, display name, avatar and cover images, bio) — to create and secure your account and provide the service. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Content you create (guidance prompts you type, saved reflections, Bible highlights, bookmarks, translation preferences) — to deliver Scripture guidance and sync your saved items across devices. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Newsletter data (email address, opt-in and confirmation timestamps) — to send the Daily Scripture email you requested. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link.
- Usage and technical data (device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, error and performance logs) — to keep the service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve reliability. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Support messages you send us — to answer your question. Legal basis: legitimate interests and performance of a contract.
- Subscription status (plan, renewal state, and an identifier from our payment provider) — to grant access to paid features. Legal basis: performance of a contract and legal obligation.
We do not ask for special category data. Please do not include information about others that you are not entitled to share when describing a situation in the app.
3. Payment data
Purchases are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects and processes your billing and payment details directly for the purpose of the sale, subscription management, payments, tax calculation and invoicing. ANXRD does not receive or store your full card details — we only retain a customer reference, subscription status and billing period so we can grant you access.
4. Who we share data with
- Service providers / subprocessors — hosting and database infrastructure, authentication and file storage, transactional and newsletter email delivery, AI model providers that generate guidance text from your prompt, and error monitoring tooling.
- Payment processor — Stripe, for the sale of subscriptions, billing, tax calculation and invoicing.
- Professional advisers — legal, accounting and audit advisers where necessary.
- Authorities — where we are required to disclose data by law or to protect our legal rights.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
6. Retention
We keep account data and your saved content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to delete it, we remove or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep records longer for tax, accounting or legal purposes (typically up to 7 years for transaction records). Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe, plus a short period to evidence consent. Technical logs are typically retained for up to 12 months.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email support@anxrd.com. We respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest with our infrastructure providers, row-level access controls so your saved content is readable only by your account, and least-privilege administrative access.
9. Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your theme and translation preference, and store guest reflections on your device. We do not run advertising cookies. Any analytics we use is limited to aggregate product usage. You can clear cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings; doing so will sign you out and remove guest data stored locally.
10. Changes
We may update this notice as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and the “last updated” date above will change.
