Hope shines brightest in suffering. Scripture does not promise an easy road, but it promises a faithful God walking it with us. The same passage that promises a future and a hope was spoken to exiles. Hope in the Bible is forged in hard places and points beyond them.

Anchor your hope in God's character, not your circumstances. The God of hope fills us with all joy and peace as we trust, so that we may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. When hope feels thin, that is not a disqualification but an invitation to lean on the One who supplies it.
